2010 Event
Gayle Combs;
This makes my 4TH year particpating in the IPC. Each year it grows and continues to get bigger and better. Thanks to Jason for putting on such a safe and enjoyable hunt. Also a big thanks to everyone who volunteered thier time and donations to make this hunt possible. Thanks again Dennis for letting me help set up the rifle shoot.
My CONGRATS to Team Predator X, on taking first place. Also congratulations to Shane Anslinger in the rifle compitition. You have raised the bar, as you are the first to connect on all 5 targets. Also, congrats to the teams of Lights out,The Howlers and The Jocko's for connecting on predators. Already looking forward to seeing everyone at the 2011 IPC!
Jeremy Bontrager:
The IPC is always a memorable event, with 2010 no exception. From pouring rain switching to horizontal snow on Friday night, the Northerners still managed to catch a glimpse of 3 coyotes, with one of them passing through the crosshairs too fast for a shot. Saturday brought the break in the weather we were all looking for, and brought plenty of action under a clear, starry sky all the way into Sunday morning, but again found us with no points on the board. Certainly a great weekend and a superb hunt to be remembered for many years to come. Special thanks to Dennis, Jason, Randy, Mike and all who helped make this event a succes yet once again. I would recommend the IPC to anyone that loves to hunt and enjoys a challenge!
Alan Hershberger:
As always I had a great time thanks to the folks who helped make this weekend a success!
From hunting in the rain, to stomping up and down snow covered hills! The weekend has taught me several good things and spots for next year!! I had a coyote run not 20 yards from me and the truck while locating, so always take a gun when you locate. You never know when a yote jumps out within rock chucking distance!! Tired sore and happy, looking forward to next year!
Chris Schnieder:
Thanks to all the organizers for another great hunt. This was my second year to make the IPC and I hope to make the next several. The weather this year started out bad with the rain, however the comradery amongst the hunters and the organizers made it enjoyable all the same. The IPC has to be one of the toughest hunts i've seen which is set up in a way to put all hunters on a level playing field from novice to expert the opportunity's are the same. Again! Thanks for a great hunt.
T.J Edwards:
This was our 2nd trip to the Indiana Predator Challenge and we had a great time. Didn't manage to call up any fur but we had fun. I think we've come up with some good stratagies for next year so we're looking forward to 2011! Thanks to all who helped put it on, see you next year!
Jim Jacob:
Man it feels good to finally win one! Thanks to everyone who put this thing on and made it such a good time. We've been here for four years and called plenty of coyotes every time. Everything came together this time around, finally. That rifle contest was awesome, much better than its ever been. Looking forward to next year so make sure to remind me when registration opens up again!
David G. Payne:
THANKS to Jason and Crew for organizing and hosting another terrific IPC event!! This was my first year to participate as a hunter with Team Jocko and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Even though I was only able to make one stand with them due to severe Arthritis pain in my knees, I still enjoyed just sitting in the truck listening to them call and watching the area with great anticipation of the slightest movement! On one of our last stands I even got to witness a double called in, which resulted in a kill to put us on the scoreboard! Next year I will deffinitely be registered for the hunt and hopefully have this arthritis under control, so I can make every stand with them.
Thanks again to all involved and I'm already looking forward to the 2011 IPC!!

Jason Schmiesing:
2010 IPC exiting as always! The rifle competition was great and very well thought out. This was my fourth year to compete and I always appreciate the hard work and dedication that is put forth from the staff, volunteers, and the other hunters you all make it possible.
Once again we were into some yotes we called four in total with only one going down. Sunday morning we were giving it our all trying to get another one down when one appeared 60 yards away only to have my partner eject 2 shells before he found one that would fire by that time it was too late. Thanks to all for another great hunt -and to all of you kicking around the idea of entering the 2011 hunt – don’t be stalling this always fills fast.

George Sierra;
Brutal wind and COLD weather made for a tough hunt, but that's the CHALLENGE! It was a good time and nice to put names to faces with guys I've chatted with on the Midwest Predator Hunters website. Congrats to Team Minnie, but watch your butt because I'm sure there will be several folks gunning for the win next year! Thanks Jason and all of the folks who helped put this together! See ya next year!
Jason Schmiesing;
Hey guys my team (The Howlers) and I had a great time. We hunted hard, slept little, and loved all of it. Thank you and I look forward to seeing you all next year.
Jeremy Newberry;
I had a great time as well. It was great to meet a lot of the guys, wish there was more time for fellowship and story telling! Hunting was tough but I learned a little about hunting those dang hills. Next year will be better! Can't wait!
Scott Dean;
It was very cold but it was fun, I'm glad I managed to get down there this year. I had a good time with my team and a good time finally meeting some of the guys from Midwest Predator Hunters. Congrats to the teams that put down fur and congrats to all for a safe and enjoyable hunt. I look forward to next year and hopefully I will get to see ya'll a little sooner then later! Thanks to the staff for putting the event on!
Bearle Eastling;
Howdy all, team Minnie made it home after a crazy drive. We had a great time & are counting the days until the next IPC outing. It was great putting faces with all the names from MPH. Thanks Jason for putting up with us. Whoever is lucky enough to hunt with JRB next year bring your hiking boots, this man loves to cover some ground! Hills = minnie mountains. It was a pleasure to meet all of you & call you friends!
Gayle Combs;
My hat is off to the teams that were able to connect on fur this weekend. The high winds and brutal cold really made for a tough hunt. Despite the conditions, I think that everyone hunted hard and long. I know that at the last check in, there were lots of dragging feet and plenty of bags under the eyes. I enjoyed the company of the team that I was with, as well as the company of all that I met throughout the weekend. It was a very enjoyable time.
Brian Ferry;
Man what a time, I met a lot of friendly people and really learned what hunting the thick stuff is all about. I went into this hunt not really knowing what to expect and came out of it a lot wiser and a lot colder and thanks to my partners a few pounds lighter! Jason I don't know where you found the cook but I hope you can get him again for next year. The food was top notch and plenty of it. Jason you put on one top notch event and I am looking forward to next year. Again hats off to all you crazy/dedicated people who made the event a success.
Jason Brunner;
Well our team Regulators had a great time. Even though we did get a flat at 7:00pm on Saturday night and didn't get to hunt from then on HAHAHA that's just our luck though. We had a few packs howl at us at night but never seen any. Called in hawks on every day time set we made. I liked the shooting contest even though we didn't win it! Thought it looked a lot more challenging then before!!!
I would like to congratulate the 1st and 2nd place teams and all those teams who killed something. I'm just glad to see people get out in the freezing cold and do something crazy!!! Also would like to thank everyone who contributed to the hunt and put up with us Rednecks!!! My team will definitely be there next year if we have it!!! Thanks again guys!
Gary Gann;
I just wanted to say that this was my first predator hunt and really the first time hunting that hard for coyotes. Results were awesome, I got my first coyote ever -¦ needless to say I'm hooked. Meeting everyone and putting a name with the faces was cool, listening to others and there strategies and the food was grade A good.
2006 Event
Shawn Thompson of Crawfordsville, IN- “I just wanted to say that myself and all the other guys that came down from Crawfordsville had a blast. I know we’re already talking about coming back down to hunt again. And a special thanks to our guide Mert for everything he did to make the weekend great for us.”
Daniel Lowe of Rome, IN- “Man, it was an awesome weekend! The excitement was so think in the air you could cut it! Every team had high hopes of winning. Congratulations to the winners! Jason, you did a great job of putting this hunt together! Can't wait till next year!”
Chad Benge of Crawfordsville, IN- “I hunted with Jason Bruce this year and we had a blast although there were a couple missed opportunities it couldn’t have gone better. We stayed with another guide Mert, who my brother hunted with, and we all had an exceptional time and cant wait to get back next year!”
Darren Chase of West Point, IN- “I had a blast at the 06 Challenge, and can't wait for next year. The food was good, weather was manageable and the Southern hospitality was great. My team had a blast the whole time and we were all sorry to see it end, even though we'd only slept 5-6 hrs total for 2 nights and 3 days. As it turned out, we slept to much though, 4.75 lbs to much!!! (Darren’s team placed second by a body weight judgment of 4.75 pounds). This hunt is a great time, even when the dogs are not cooperating. Spending time with friends both old and new is a great time.”
Mert Stroud of Marengo, IN- “I had the pleasure of hunting with two of the finest fellows I have ever met. We started on Thursday setting up camp and telling hunting stories. On Friday we went to Rome to sign up for the hunt, by 1:30 p.m. we had a young coyote in the bag. We spent the next two and a half days trying to get number two with no luck. Our whole team was beat down tired by Sunday night. But when my teammates left to go back to the north part of the state it was a sad time that it had to end. We have already started making plans for next year. I feel that if you have never hunted in the I.P.C you have been missing the time of your life. There is no doubt that it can be made bigger but I don't see how anyone could make it more fun. If I had to give up all my hunts but one, It would be the I.P.C that would win without a doubt. It was a great chance to put faces with names, and enjoy the company of some very fine people as well as learn more about the sport. I would like to thank everyone for a great weekend, especially Jason Bruce for all the hard work and time he spent putting this hunt together. Let me know when I can sign up for 2007!”
Mike Hausz of Lanesville, IN- “I wasn't able to participate in the hunt as I had wanted to because I had surgery a few days before the competition began. I did venture down on Sunday to see the guys and watch the final check-in and see who won. Seemed to me that all involved had a good time and several coyotes were harvested. I hope to be able to participate in the hunt next year. I still have a lot to learn and this is a great opportunity to rub elbows and hunt with some accomplished predator hunters. I haven't heard any negative comments from anyone involved. Hope next years hunt is even bigger and better.”
Scott Kramer of Ridgeville, IN- “Jason you put together another great hunt man. We had a blast and I was really excited to see my new hunting buddy kill his first coyote during that competition! The prizes were great the food was awesome and the facilities were perfect for us. Thanks again for organizing this thing and we can’t wait for next year!”
Dennis Voyles of Ramsey, IN- “The Indiana Predator Challenge is a great hunt. I have had the pleasure of hunting in every event and this thing just continues to get better. It’s amazing how many people there are from all across this state and region that are just like us. They are ate up with predator calling and it’s a blast to hang out with them! I’m sure more people will be coming to the IPC next year but I’ll be sending my paperwork in really early to make sure I don’t miss out!”
Seth Parker of Lafayette, IN- “The 2006 Indiana Predator Challenge was somehow better than the 05 event. I didn’t think it was possible, but the food/weather/hunting and friends were even BETTER than before. I can’t wait to see what next year is like, I’m going to start training earlier so those kills don’t kill me next time! Thanks to our guide Dennis and all the people that helped put this thing together!”
